Daniel N. Robin, SQA program founder and board chair is principal of Daniel Robin & Associates, an international management consulting and training firm ( abetterworkplace.com) specializing in culture change, tools for workplace collaboration, and effective human relations. Clients include Driscoll's, HP, PG&E, Seagate Technologies, McKee Foods Corp., Threshold Enterprises, City governments of Palo Alto, Santa Cruz and San Jose, and the Oak Grove School District in San Jose, among other.
Established in 1985, top training programs are Breaking Down Silos to Collaboration, Meeting Management Skills, and Leadership Development Training, with more than 98% of participants giving "excellent" marks

 

Daniel has published more than 200 articles and papers on sustainable business and workplace best practices, and is author of the widely read column entitled "The Healthy Workplace."

Since 1996, Daniel has also been managing director of In3 Group (online at in3group.net and in3inc.com), a "venture catalyst," finance and strategic advisory firm working with early stage sustainable businesses to help them live up to their commercial potential.

Victor Desotelle served as SQA director for the Monterey Bay Region 1998-2001, and is principal of InKNOWvate, a network of knowledge-based consultants that enable sustainability and innovative learning within organizations. He applies systems thinking concepts, scientific principles of sustainability, and methods for envisioning that allow organizations to realize a self-generated, conscious future.
Vic also has more than 13 years experience in the Silicon Valley Electronics Industry and 8 years in Sustainability and Organizational Learning. He is active in many areas of community development. He is a board member at the Peninsula Conservation Center Foundation and is acting chair of their BEN business outreach program. In addition, he is active with organizations such as the Foundation for Global Community developing methods for recovering meaning within personal and community life.

Vic has committed his future to building effective collaboration between organizations and the greater community to provide for a more sustainable world.

Hina has been an organizational consultant for over 25 years. She developed Unifying Systems, technologies for Working Smarter, Naturally. Her focus is in aligning people and organizational cultures with their work. She invokes proficiency through collaborative working relationships.
Hina began her business career in the "Garment Center" in New York in 1964. She discovered that people were overwhelmed and under-prepared, and running companies very inefficiently. She incorporates personal growth and mastery and spiritual principles into helping people transform their work experience and effectiveness.
Hina is a founding member of the Sustainable Quality Awards and helped design the evaluation systems as a bridge between the ecologically minded community and the businesses and organizations involved in quality products and services.
Hina is a Ph.D Candidate in Organizational Development and Transformation with International University of Professional Studies and is working on a book, Working Smarter, Naturally.

Virginia Johnson is the Executive Director (ret'd) of Ecology Action of Santa Cruz, the oldest nonprofit environmental organization in the Monterey region. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley with 22 years of business and non-profit experience. In addition to nine years of experience as a non-profit executive director, she has served on several community based organization boards providing services to residents throughout the region.

Coleen has lived in Santa Cruz for the past 28 years and feels a strong connection to this place, the Monterey Bay area. She works as a consultant doing presentations and facilitation related to sustainability, with particular expertise in The Natural Step. She also works at UC Santa Cruz as the Advancement Information Services Manager. Coleen is currently the Chair of the Santa Cruz Area Chamber of Commerce's Environmental Affairs

Jack McLaughlin has had the unique opportunity to have taught all grades, K-12, in addition to having served as school administrator and district superintendent on both coasts of the United States. He is currently working in a variety of areas including environmental education where he has helped local public schools reduce waste and save money through an aggressive collaborative funded by Santa Cruz County municipalities.
