Understanding global trends & indicators

Trends provide analysis of the impacts facing humanity and other planet life.   Indicators help to guide through challenges, and opportunities. Typically, both give us an idea of where are we now. They allow us to consider alternative technologies, techniques, and approaches relevant to changes in values, attitudes and world views relevant to desired or plausible futures. Sustainable indicators incorporate these alternatives considering biological and physical limits. Some critical trends are positive but others suggest that the world is moving toward a troubled future. Indicators help us to align our destiny dependent upon regional choices made separately in many different corners of the world while realizing our global interconnectedness. Based on current trends, where might your organization be heading and what are the implications?
